Hazmat 2009 Conference
HazMat 2009 will offer a variety of dynamic first responder and emergency leadership topics. Aimed at the practitioner, the conference will enhance your knowledge and abilities in hazard planning and decision making when faced with complex incident management situations experienced with hazmat and CBRN incidents. HazMat 2009 will also provide insight into current thinking and emerging technologies related to hazmat/CBRN response.

Why attend Hazmat 2009?
The aim of the conference is:

To bring hazmat & CBRN response practitioners together from different areas of expertise so that they can network and share expertise and best practice

Provide information on current thinking and practice on specific hazmat response procedures (i.e. how to respond to a certain type of hazmat incident)

Provide insight into how actual hazmat incidents were managed, the kind of problems that occurred and how they were solved (or not!!)

Allow hazmat responders to hear about and see some the latest technologies and tools that will enable them to do their job safer and more efficiently

Hazmat 2009 Conference Program
The Hazmat 2009 conference will have a number of exciting and informative presentations during the course of this premier hazmat and CBRN event.
Pre-conference workshop
On the Monday, 12th October 2009 the will be a pre-conference workshop covering the use of Raman and FT Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy in hazmat and CBRNE response. This will cover the fundamentals of the technology involved and look at specific examples of how this technology can be used in responding to illicit drug laboratories and incidents involving energetic or explosive materials. This will be a hands-on workshop and delegates will have an opportunity throughout the duration of the workshop to use advanced field portable Raman and FTIR instruments that are currently in use by responders.
Delegates attending the conference and will be joining as on the Monday can attend this pre-conference workshop free of charge when registering for Hazmat 2009. The Hazmat 2009 conference organisers, in light of the current economic climate, have worked hard at making this annual Hazmat/CBRNE Responders conference as affordable as possible. This year not only have we been able to secure a premium conference venue but have managed to keep the conference prices the SAME AS LAST YEAR!!
Registrations made before 4th September 2009: £370 (excl VAT)
Registrations made after 4th September 2009: £400 (excl VAT)
What is included in the cost for Hazmat 2009 Conference?
Included in the cost of the conference is:
- Pre-conference networking evening on the 12th October
- Attendance of the full conference event on the 13th and 14th October 2009 (incl tea/coffee and lunch on the 12-13 October 2009)
- Full conference pack
- Special Hazmat 2009 conference dinner on the evening of the 13th October
- Overnight accommodation and breakfast (13th October only) - if you require additional accommodation we have negotiated an extremely good rate from the Hilton London Stansted.
