HazMat 2008 will offer a variety of first responder and emergency leadership topics. Aimed at the practioner, the conference will enhance your knowledge and abilities in hazard planning and decision making when faced with complex incident management situations experienced with hazmat and CBRN incidents. HazMat 2008 will also provide insight into current thinking and emerging technologies related to hazmat/CBRN response.

 

The aim of the conference is:

  • To bring hazmat & CBRN response practitioners together from different areas of expertise so that they can network and share expertise and best practice
  • Provide information on current thinking and practice on specific hazmat response procedures (i.e. how to respond to a certain type of hazmat incident)
  • Provide insight into how actual hazmat incidents were managed, the kind of problems that occurred and how they were solved (or not!!)
  • Allow hazmat responders to hear about and see some the latest technologies and tools that will enable them to do their job safer and more efficiently
